After graduating from the University of San Francisco, she pursued a career in financial services. Betsy Grotte, Advisory Board

Betsy Grotte holds a BA in Physical Education and Chemistry as well as a Cal Teaching Credential. Betsy currently serves as the Past President of the Hillsborough Auxiliary to Community Gatepath. Now retired, Betsy had a 22 year career as a health & fitness consultant for Fortune 500 companies developing and designing health promotion programs and on-site fitness facilities. She has served in several leadership positions within her professional association. Betsy is the proud mother to Peter, a young man with developmental disabilities.

Sherman Chan, Advisory Board

Sherman Chan was born in Mainland China. He came with his family to the U.S. in 1967. He attended Harvey Mudd College and later earned a PhD degree from MIT in electrical engineering. He worked at Bonneville Power Administration and Systems Control, Inc. before he founded ASPEN, Inc. in 1986. ASPEN is currently the leading supplier of short-circuit and relay-coordination software. Over 300 electric utilities in 53 countries use ASPEN programs to ensure that their transmission assets are protected from short circuits. Sherman is a fellow of the Hertz Foundation and a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers.
